This role will have the oversight of planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of our Competitive Employment Services department, including development and maintenance of placements for volunteer and paid opportunities for the individuals we serve. The position will also be responsible for ensuring quality supports and compliance with governmental and other licensing or accreditation standards.


  • Supervise staff and people served in organization’s’ Competitive Employment program
  • Comply with mandated external and internal program documentation, licensing and accreditation requirements, and procedures and pertinent state and federal government regulations
  • Provide individuals with a career plan and situational assessment geared towards competitive employment, based on personal preferences
  • Review and plan for all individuals and provide opportunities and steps towards competitive employment utilizing career planning and assessment tools
  • Manage department budget and staffing allocations and provide variance and other analyses as required
  • Provide planning for all referrals from the Ticket to Work and delegate to job coaches the assessment, evaluation and job coaching to ensure success of the program


  • Bachelor's Degree with course work in education planning, social work, or business management
  • A minimum of three years of successful management experience, with at least one year of experience working to support people with disabilities in competitive employment
  • Experience in managing a Ticket to Work program a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong "sales" and business development skills
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Excellent written communication and proficient speaking skills
