Abilis, the nonprofit organization providing services and support to more than 800 individuals with special needs and their families, announced that its Spring for Abilis Gala, held on April 27 at the Greenwich Country Club, raised more than $680,000 for the nonprofit, which will directly benefit new Abilis programs and initiatives.
Greenwich Country Club is one of Abilis’ employment partners that provides employment opportunities to several Abilis community members. The event’s co-chairs were Afton Fraser of Greenwich, Gena Mann of Weston and Hillary Sollinger of Fairfield. The event included entertainment by ETA Music, performances by Billy Blanks Jr. and The Dance Pointe, as well as an acoustic performance of the song “Hallelujah” by songwriter and record producer Billy Mann and his daughter Lulu. Blanks also served as the event’s emcee and auctioneer.
