About our Program
Abilis provides people with disabilities with a path to meaningful careers where they can be an asset to any company.
Abilis community members have a dedicated team that prepares them for employment through resume building,
application guidance, and interview preparation. We build relationships with each individual in our program to identify the
environment best suited to their personality, job skills, strengths and job preference. We then strategically match businesses
with our community members to establish mutually beneficial experiences.
When business partners hire our community members, the support team for the employee
provides ongoing support for a minimum of 3-5 months, depending on the community member’s needs,
to ensure a high rate of job retention. Abilis is always there to help with any concerns that may arise.
Job Coach
An Abilis job coach will support the new hire and employer through a customized orientation and training process. Our coaches are skilled in working with people of all abilities and will assist in the onboarding process of our community members so they can learn and execute the responsibilities of their position successfully. Coaches will collaborate with the employer to ensure competencies and success.
The coach is available to work with the new employee as much as needed as the employee becomes more confident and independent in the tasks.

*TAX Benefits: Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit program. Employers can receive tax credits of 25% of the salary, up to $6,000 for each hired worker per year.
