For the sixth year in a row, the Island Beach Concession Stand in Greenwich, Connecticut,
is proudly staffed and managed by Abilis.

As one of Abilis' seven businesses, the Island Beach Concession Stand provides meaningful, inclusive employment opportunities for adults with disabilities and area teens. Team members gain valuable hands-on experience in customer service, food service, teamwork, and workplace responsibility while serving beachgoers throughout the summer season.

More than just a concession stand, this unique employment training program helps individuals build confidence, job skills, and connect with the community—all while providing friendly customer service.

Whether you're spending the day at Island Beach or stopping by for a quick treat, you'll find a variety of summer favorites, including:

  • Ice cream and frozen treats

  • Cold beverages

  • Beach essentials

  • Beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent

2026 Ferry Schedule

  • June 13 – August 15: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

  • August 16 – August 31: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • September 1–7 & September 12–13: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Hours of Operation

Planning a visit? Weather conditions on the water can change quickly, and the concession stand may close during inclement weather or other operational circumstances. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates on hours, closures, and seasonal announcements. Please note that grill service ends 15 minutes before the final ferry departs from the Arch Street Ferry Dock each day.
