Adopt-A-Home Program

Abilis owns and manages 70+ residences in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk and Westport, Connecticut.

Program Mission

The Abilis Residential Program’s mission is to provide comfortable, safe and loving homes for adults with disabilities. Many of these homes are supported by devoted family members — but not all residents are fortunate to have families nearby or able to help. Abilis owns and manages 70+ residences in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk and Westport, Connecticut.

Adopting a Home Includes
Participation With The Following

  • Monthly house visits

  • Interaction with residents and staff
    (social, activities or volunteering)

  • Observe surroundings and identify areas of need: safety, bedding, kitchen, bathrooms, cleanliness, supplies, recreation, outdoor areas, and furniture

  • Communicate and coordinate with
    Abilis to facilitate enhancements or repairs

  • Make a donation that would serve
    to enhance the home environment

Too Busy to Adopt a Home?

Please consider making a donation to the Adopt-A-Home program. Contributions will be applied towards maintaining the comfort and quality of homes.
