ABILIS SIBSHOP

SIBSHOPS ARE BACK AT ABILIS!

Abilis Sibshops are groups for individuals ages 9-14 who are brothers and sisters of someone who has a disability. The groups are split into two, one for ages 9-11 and the other for ages 12-14. Sibshops are high-spirited, relaxed events that combine recreation, discussion and information for siblings who endure struggles and successes of having a brother or a sister with a disability. Sibshops provide a safe-space for siblings to share their thoughts and feelings while also enjoying themselves through different recreation activities.

Sibshop costs go toward providing snacks, refreshments and other items for group activities.

Fall 2021 Sibshops Workshops will be held on a monthly basis and groups will be separated by age. Please see below:

DATES FOR SIBLINGS 9-11: Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov. 3, Dec. 1 – 5p.m. to 6:30p.m.
DATES FOR SIBLINGS 12-14: Sept. 29, Oct. 27, Nov. 17, Dec. 15 – 5p.m. to 6:30p.m.

*Please note, if we do not have enough siblings to fill each group, we will combine groups and begin Sibshops on September 15th*
