Managing Government Benefits for Young Adults with Special Needs Entering the Workforce

Abilis is hosting a FREE zoom information session – Managing Government Benefits for Young Adults with Special Needs entering the Workforce on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.  This virtual webinar is designed to help parents, caregivers and young adults with special needs to learn to maintain their government benefits while having a job.

For young adults with a disability, having a job is very important.  It provides money, a sense of purpose, and responsibility. Entering the workforce can prompt many questions and concerns about how earnings from working may affect their Government benefits such as with Medicaid (HUSKY), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and SNAP.

Open to the public and offered at no cost. Seats are limited and registration is required. Please register your spot.  A Zoom link will be provided as part of registration.  Any questions please email Monica Smyth at This email address is being protected from spambots.
