a one mile stroll or roll through beautiful Greenwich Point Park
(Tod's Point) to benefit the children and adults in the
Greenwich-Stamford area with developmental disabilities.
Dear friends,
Heavy rain washed out the 2009 Walk in the Park for Abilis, but it didn't dampen
Abilis' spirit or our agency's commitment to serving children and adults with
developmental disabilities.
Abilis regrouped and held an Open House in early November - ironically, one of
the most beautiful weather days of the year -- to distribute Walk T-shirts, eat
hot dogs, connect with family, friends and supporters, and introduce Abilis'
first note-card and jewelry collections.
Thanks to all who made it a fun and successful event.
Those who were unable to join us for the Open House can pick up their Walk T
shirts and make a donation during weekday business hours at Abilis headquarters,
50 Glenville St., Greenwich. When you visit, check out the note-cards, jewelry,
scented candles and other gifts made by the terrific adults we serve.
Planning already is under way for the 2010 Walk in the Park for Abilis. Keep checking this space for details. We look forward to seeing you at next year's Walk!
With best wishes,
Lolli Ross
