Today at Abilis
Abilis Employment Services recently completed a huge job: assembling and mailing more than 4,000 envelopes to prospective donors as part of our Abilis Annual Appeal.
The job was complicated. Each letter had four components: a stamped outer envelope, corresponding annual appeal letter, a matching reply card and a stamped return envelope. It took three trips to the Valley Road Post Office on Dec. 1 to mail them all.
But it was no problem for Abilis. Our assembly workers are skilled in stamping, matching addresses, and stuffing and sealing envelopes. Approximately one dozen adults who receive employment support from Abilis worked on the mailing under the direction of Kesha Hickman, Kalian Miller and Luis Velazquez of Abilis Employment Services.
