Thursday, March 1 is Fairfield County’s Giving Day. Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising campaign designed to generate awareness of and funding for non-profit organizations in Fairfield County like Abilis. Donations can only be made on March 1.
- Our Giving Day goals this year are to:
- Increase public awareness about Abilis, the many social and recreational activities Abilis offers, and the benefits they provide to our participants.
- Raise funds for our second annual “Abilis Has Talent” event. This event gives our participants a chance to develop self-confidence and shine like the stars they are through an inclusive public performance. Click here to see one of our stars in action.
Here’s how you can help:
- Consider making a donation to Abilis on March 1 by clicking here. We are grateful for any donation we receive from 12:00am-11:59pm. If possible we ask that you make your donation between 12-1pm, so that Abilis could win an additional $1,000 for the most donations during this lunch time “power hour”.
- Visit our Facebook page on February 27. We can win up to $500 if enough people like the photos and videos we post by 4pm. Please go to our Facebook page and LIKE the photo and video we have pinned. Encourage friends and family to do the same. They must like our original post, “Shares” won’t count.
- Share our email messages and social posts with friends, family, and colleagues. Together we can make Giving Day a success for the 700 individuals and families who depend upon Abilis each and every day! Thank you for your support.
