Valentine's Day brought about dance and a celebration of love at the Alibis "Sweetheart Ball" on Saturday.

"How to follow the music, the rhythm," said Abilis member Wendy Sullivan.

Eight couples from Abilis took to the dance floor at the Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom in Greenwich to dance and learn some moves from a studio trainer.

"When you hear the beat and you get out there and start moving especially with a partner, Arthur Murray is all about partner dancing, something ignites in you and you don't need to speak the same language or come from the same place, all of a sudden you know you can work as one," said Christine Georgopulo, owner of the Arthur Murray Dance Center in Greenwich.

Abilis is a nonprofit agency that works to provide services for individuals of all ages with disabilities throughout Fairfield County and Westchester County.

"It's really a celebration of love and the Abilis community and it's the love within it but also the friendships that are critical to the success of Abilis," said Abilis Marketing Director Keelin Daly.

Abilis Marketing Director Keelin Daly says its the first time the agency has teamed up with Arthur Murray Studio to host a Sweet Heart Ball and she hopes it could be an annual tradition.

"We have a lot of people in the Abilis Community who date and have relationships that are ongoing," said Daly. "So this is a really great way to celebrate their relationships and shared interest in dance."

"We've been together for 10 years now," said Brown.

"Abilis does phenomenal work and they're the most humble of all the charities I think have been around," said Georgopulo. "So we are incredibly happy to shine some light on them."
