Abilis in Glenville will be opening its doors for an informational services fair on Tuesday, January 12.

“Abilis is an organization that serves almost 500 individuals with developmental disabilities across all different ages- from birth through life,” said President and CEO Dennis Perry.

The public is invited to meet Abilis professionals and learn about the non-profits’ therapeutic and life services.

“Eventually, kids grow up and they need access to as full as a robust community based life that they can get. Our life services program is in response to that,” said Perry.

Abilis provides job training, competitive jobs, independent living, and meaningful social lives for the people it serves.

“We want people to feel rewarded for what they do,” said Perry.

All Abilis services will be discussed at the services fair on January 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Abilis, located at 50 Glenville Street. Officials say no appointment is needed.
